A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive, standardized assessment that measures a person's physical abilities, compares them to the demands of work or daily activities, and identifies functional limitations.
The FCE provides objective information used to guide return-to-work planning, treatment recommendations, and decision-making by insurers, employers, and healthcare providers.
